Our 2018 MK7.5 GTI

Our 2018 MK7.5 GTI

Posted by Sean Kirk on Feb 2nd 2022

We get a lot of questions about what's done to our MK7.5 GTI, so we thought it would help to do a little write up on the modifications we've done so far! As we continue adding new parts, we'll make new posts if engagement is there!

To start off the car is a White Silver Metallic 2018 GTI SE DSG w/ leather. I always swore I'd drive manuals til the day I died, but knowing I'd tune the car, I didn't want to drop the trans on a basically brand new car to replace the clutch, so I went with the DSG. And the DSG is so good I have no regrets. I guess partly because I still have my MK4 to row gears in when I feel the need, and Philadelphia having traffic at any given time of the day.

I took delivery of the car on July 25, 2018 and as I'm writing this on February 2, 2022 it has almost 93,000 miles. Even with all of the modifications it still gets 35+ mpg cruising on the highway at 70mph or so and has had no major issues, though it did get a carbon cleaning at 85,000 miles.

Now onto the modification list:
