Verus Engineering Swan Neck UCW Rear Wing Kit for G82 M4
The G82 BMW M4 represents what's possible in modern performance vehicles, with fantastic handling and a relentlessly powerful yet efficient turbocharged Inline-6 powerplant. This is BMW's definitive GT sports car experience, delivering comfort and performance with few rivals. However, the BMW engineers left some room for aerodynamic enhancement to lower lap times and increase driver confidence.
The UCW Rear Wing is a great addition to your G-Series BMW M4 to increase downforce significantly in the rear, increase confidence on track, and reduce lap times. Designed to work on the factory trunk, the rear wing bolts on easily and improves the performance that this sports car can utilize on track. The UCW Swan Neck Wing is developed to utilize the low-pressure zone underneath the wing element to pull the car downward, dramatically increasing downforce with a minimal penalty in drag. Due to the top-mount system, we observe an improvement in overall downforce, as more bottom surface area is available to take advantage of the clean, low-pressure zone.
Utilizing state-of-the-art analysis software and wind tunnel testing during the R&D process, we optimized the airfoil for performance for the given build volume, which is derived from the V1X. Further utilizing CFD, we ensured the rear wing sees adequate airflow while installed on the car and performs as intended. We also utilize CFD to ensure adequate aero balance which improves driver confidence and reduces lap time.
During the design process, we utilized in-house scan data. This results in a product that features a near OEM fit and finish. We engineered the wing to blend into the vehicle's profile while being capable of balancing out significant front aerodynamic systems like our Front Splitter Kit!

The Verus Engineering UCW Rear Wing was specifically designed for the G82 BMW M4 enthusiast who wants more rear-end downforce. The wing has 15 degrees of adjustment to enable fine-tuning to match your performance needs. This allows the wing to balance out a variety of front aerodynamic kits. As part of our Ventus 2 aerodynamic kit, the rear wing and aero kit add a significant amount of downforce to the car to help reduce lap times and increase corner speed.
The swan neck style mounting improves the efficiency of the wing element by reducing the poor flow areas on the bottom side of the wing, which happens with bottom mount wings. By improving the efficiency of the wing, we were able to extract more performance at less drag penalty when compared to the bottom mount variant.
CFD was used to ensure a safe and performance enhancing aero balance while scan data allowed these parts to fit like an OEM+ style of component.
