Ride of the Month - Alex's MK7.5 Rabbit Edition GTI - January 2025

After many requests, Ride of the Month is back with a bang for 2025!

This month's feature car is Alex's 2019 MK7.5 Rabbit Edition GTI! While it may look somewhat unassuming, Alex's GTI is a wolf in sheep's clothing and has a long list of modifications with even more to come! Alex is a fairly local customer of ours based out of New Jersey and often takes advantage of our local pickup / delivery service so it's always fun to check out his car in person.

Right now Alex's car is running an OEM IS38 turbo upgrade, but is turning things up a bit more! We currently have an EQT Vortex XL turbo, Euro Intake Manifold, EQT 980cc MPI kit and EQT 5 Bar Sensor Package in transit for him and he received an EQT LPFP for Christmas already, so his car is going to absolutely rip! He is looking at going with a flex fuel file so he can have the ability to run either 93 octane or E85 without worrying about switching between files. His car should end up in the 450-500whp range while keeping torque down in the low 400's to keep the engine in tact.

Suspension, brakes and drivetrain mounts were also not overlooked to help his car handle like it's on rails, stop well and help put as much of the power down to the ground as possible! The EQT Balanced Line coilovers give it a lower stance and help to combat body roll while keeping the wheels planted firmly on the ground. The 034Motorsport Rear sway bar was also huge in combatting understeer and the end links help combat deflection, making sure the sway bar is able to be taken advantage of completely. The RacingLine subframe alignment kit helps keep the subframe from shifting around as well as keeping camber in check from side to side.

Some of the photos I shot of his car are a bit outdated being from July of 2024, so you won't see the brake upgrades and such! But we will have to fix that soon and take some more photos again once the weather warms up and the Aerofabb stuff is installed!
