Product Description
CJM Industries Front Splitter Extension (Subframe Panel) for MK7/7.5 GTI & Golf R
This front splitter extension panel extends from the back of our splitter blade to the subframe creating a flat bottom belly pan. We incorporate 3 reverse naca ducts to act as extractor ports around the trans and oil pan to promote better airflow. These can be made more efficient by added ducting between your bumper and cooling stack.
We utilize exiting holes in the steel or aluminum subframe to install our brackets. No drilling of the subframe is required for install. Our brackets have preinstalled hex shank threaded inserts to make install and removal of the subframe panel quick and easy without having to remove the brackets.
One of the openings for the naca duct on the oil pan side is elongated to allow access to the oil drain plug without having to remove the panel (OEM pan only).
Our front panel meets most racing tech rules, ending at the axle centerline. The rear portion will not meet the axle centerline rule.

Other notes about this product & compatibility:
- Compatible with CJM Chassis mounted splitter blades - V2, V3, V4. Some V2 / V4 blades may require drilling holes with a 6mm or 1/4" drill bit (not included). We have a drilling procedure here to place these holes.
- This panel has been CFD tested with 1million cell resolution as a baseline to verify it provided benefits over no panel. It reduced vehicle drag and improved the L/D ratio over the OEM model without a panel.
- This panel may also be compatible with other brands chassis mounted splitter blades, and DIY blades that extend to the front edge of the wheel well arch. Blade thickness needs to be .375"/ 9.5mm or greater.
- Our extension panels are compatible with ECS street shield tunnel skids.
