Touring Edition Exhaust:
At the intersection of sophistication and aggression lies the Touring Edition. Armed with patented drone-canceling 180 Technology® and a straight-through resonator in the mid pipe, the Touring Edition is the do-it-all exhaust configuration.
Under boost and heavy throttle, the Touring Edition screams. At highway speeds, it’s drone-free and civil within the cabin. The best of both worlds, perfectly packaged for the Mk7.5 GLI.
Track Edition Exhaust:
For those looking to crank it to 11 with no intention of turning it down, Track Edition is your dose of steel.
The Track Edition saves 18 lbs compared to the factory exhaust, and retains all of the precision engineering from the Touring Edition, minus AWE’s drone-canceling 180 Technology® resonators in the rear. The result? Deep rumble with minimal filter, both in and out of the cabin, at all speeds (including highway cruising).
This version is known to get rowdy and may be too much for some. For that reason, this particular version cannot be returned due to sound preference. Prepare yourself.
Sound perfection: AWE 180 Technology®:
Perfect tone, compliments of AWE 180 Technology®.
As exhaust gases exit the GLI’s 2.0T engine and flow into an AWE 180 Technology®-equipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports and into reflection chambers. Sound waves carried by these exhaust gases bounce off the chamber walls. By controlling the size and location of the ports and chambers, we also control when the sound waves exit. The precise timing of the reflected waves rejoining the main flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase wave that cancels out problematic frequencies.
Conversion kits:
We made it easy to convert between all available configurations if you decide at a later date to turn it up or down.
Tip options:
All tip options include the AWE logo and double-walling to ensure a mirror finish even under hard usage. All tips are individually adjustable, allowing depth into the bumper to be set according to personal taste.
